Under the background of promoting the progress and development of Tibetan ceramic culture and industry, the Institute of Contemporary Tibetan Ceramic Culture was established in Lhasa.

On April 24, the founding meeting and awarding ceremony of Tibet Institute of Contemporary Ceramic Culture were held in Lhasa.

On the same day, the first Tibetan ceramic culture development academic exchange meeting was held. Ceramic artists, cultural experts and scholars from many parts of the country exchanged views on the inheritance, innovation, upgrading and development of Tibetan ceramics.

At the first meeting of the Institute of Contemporary Ceramic Culture of Tibet, Li Quan was confirmed as the director of the Institute. Song Ming is the president of Xizang Contemporary Ceramic Culture Research Institute. Baima Jinzhu is the Secretary General of Xizang Contemporary Ceramic Culture Research Institute. Li Chuan is the chairman of the Academic Committee of Xizang Institute of Contemporary Ceramic Culture.

 

Tibetan pottery has a long history. In the historical development of the Chinese nation, ceramics are also the witness of the harmonious integration of the Han and Tibetan nationalities. Relies on the unique cultural resources of Tibet, the collective wisdom of experts and scholars in the field of ceramic culture research, as well as the continuous communication and integration of ceramic culture in various regions, Tibetan contemporary ceramic skills will surely usher in a better development and add luster to the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation.
