恭喜祎设计「YiBrick」在日本获得了今年GOOD DESIGN AWARD 奖项。

Congratulations to Yi Design for winning this year's GOOD DESIGN AWARD in Japan.

Today, our world is undergoing a once-in-a-century transformation. The many difficult issues we face include coping with the COVID-19 pandemic, tackling climate change and other environmental issues, and preventing rapid innovation from deepening our social divide. We are now in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. I think during the pandemic people are feeling that humanity is facing a major turning point.

与其耐心地等待灾祸过去，不如回顾人类历史，展开反思，运用智慧和技术，努力开拓新的未来。这种来自人们的希求正是引导我们走向未来的源动力。

Many of us are expecting and hoping not only to endure the disaster, but also to open the way to a new future by making use of knowledge and technology, looking back on the history of humankind and our past behavior. Such aspirations that people are having become the key driver to pass on to the human race in the future.

YiBrick透水砖使用超过90%以上的再生陶瓷，中国国内研发与制造。比同类透水砖更透水、更坚固、更轻，并且不含水泥。它是一种渗透性材料，可用作海绵城市的路面，缓解内涝问题、水资源短缺和城市热岛效应。

Yi Design invented a way to recycle and turn this waste material into a brick. YiBrick uses over 90% recycled ceramic, locally invented and made in China. It is more porous, stronger, and lighter and has no cement as its binder. It is a permeable material that can be used as pavement for sponge cities, alleviating the waterlogging problems, water resources shortage, and urban heat island effect. 

YiBrick透水砖通过吸收和收集雨水、减少洪水和收集水以备将来使用，很大程度上改善城市的生态环境和生物多样性。

This brick improves the ecological environment and biodiversity by absorbing and capturing rainwater, reducing floods, and collecting water for future use.

这项设计不仅专注于景德镇废弃的陶瓷材料，而且还考虑到整个回收系统的可持续性。从联合国可持续发展目标(SDGs) 的角度来看，93％的成分为回收材料的设计也非常棒。

It is wonderful from the perspective of the SDGs that the design that uses 93% recycled materials not only focuses on ceramics that are disposed of in Jingdezhen but also employs recycled materials for binders. 

此外，产品具有丰富的色彩变化、自然的质感、轻质多孔等优异的实用性，让建筑及土木工程和室内装饰材料使用回收产品观念的固化发挥了作用，为社会做出了实质性贡献，得到了评审的高度评价。

Moreover, the design is quite practical with rich color variations, the sense of natural materials, and light and porous functionality. It was highly rated as the design practically contributes to society by entrenching recycled materials as materials for construction, civil engineering, and interiors.

Good Design Award是通过设计将人们的生活、产业和社会变得更加富足的一项社会运动。自1957年开始以来，与其标志「G Mark」 一同，获得了广泛的支持。

GDA针对产品、建筑、软件、系统和服务等与人们息息相关的各种事物。无论有形无形，只要是人们为了某种理想和目的而构筑的事物都会被视为设计，其品质将得到评价和表彰。

The GOOD DESIGN AWARD is a movement aimed at enriching our lives and society through design. Since the foundation in 1957, it has been commonly known together with the "G Mark", the symbol of winning the award.

GDA has recognized various objects surrounding us, including industrial goods, architecture, software, systems, services and so on. No matter tangible or intangible, GOOD DESIGN AWARD will take it as design, evaluate and honor its quality, as long as it is created to fulfill certain ideals or purposes.
