He is one of the most influential ceramic artist in contemporary art field. Honorary member of International Institute of Ceramics (IAC).As one of the most influential contemporary ceramic artists, Mestre has promoted the boundaries between ceramic materials and technology through long-term creative practice, and promoted it to an independent sculpture art language. As one of the most important Spanish artists in the 20th and 21st centuries, he has the same prestige as Jorge Oteiza and Eduardo Chillida.In front of Mestre's works, the viewer's eyes are often glued to the unique surface and texture of ceramics through his rigorous and meticulous structural lines. These right-angled structural lines and simple color texture lead the viewer into his thoughtful layout, and then are quietly captured in his quiet poetic space.
