Lv Pinchang, President of China Sculpture Society, member of International Ceramic Association (IAC) and vice president of Jingdezhen Ceramic University, is the artistic director of this exhibition. Professor Cao Chunsheng, professor of Jingdezhen Ceramic University and doctoral supervisor, is the academic host. Zhang Jinghui, secretary general of Jingdezhen Sculpture Association and master tutor of Jingdezhen Ceramic University, is the curator. Professor Huang Sheng, Dean of School of Ceramic Art and Doctorial Supervisor of Jingdezhen Ceramic University, and Ms. Luo Jin, Director of Sculpture Department of Jingdezhen Ceramic University and Member of ISC International Sculpture Society of the United States, co-organized this exhibition. All the famous people in Jingdezhen academic circle were present to serve as the platform for this grand art exhibition.
This exhibition presents nearly 100 pieces of contemporary pottery and sculpture works, reflecting the professional level and academic height of Jingdezhen pottery and sculpture creation, showing the latest development of contemporary pottery and sculpture, concept innovation, language exploration, material experiment, personality transmission. . . From the space arrangement to the exhibition of the works, we can see the collision between the concept and design of ceramic art, as well as between materials and ideas. When art returns to the scene of life, facing the public and approaching the vision of ordinary people, the coming artistic breath makes people feel like drinking nectar. In the art hall, they encounter various interesting souls of artists, allowing the audience to feel the artist's expression of life and concept of art.
Modern ceramic art is an art form in which artists take ceramic materials as the medium of creation and express modern people's ideal, personality, emotion, heart, consciousness and aesthetic philosophy in a personalized way. What modern ceramics wants to dig is not only the objective world, but the inner world and social consciousness of people.
At the entrance of the exhibition hall, teacher Huang Huanyi made a series of works of "net" with clay, which was particularly eye-catching. He said, "As you can see in the exhibition hall, the works I have made are a series of visible nets. In fact, there are many invisible nets regulating and binding us in our lives. In many cases, your life has many nets tied to you, so that your life is defined and set. For example, when we go from primary school, middle school and university, this kind of step-by-step arrangement is actually an invisible network. For another example, the digitization of mobile phones has brought a lot of convenience to our life, but at the same time, modern people's life has been completely constrained by mobile phones, and there is a lack of emotional communication between people. . . What I want to express is our confusion, our life, we live in the visible and invisible web. "
In the exhibition hall to the lecture hall, a group of modern ceramic art attracts a lot of eyes, white walls, a set of patterns like flowers scattered in metope, gray a more large placed on steel prices like a lotus flower in full bloom in the water, the water surface and wall on the modelling of mutual echo, form a reflection, with green trees and mountains surrounding the harmoniously together. Become the unique landscape of this exhibition hall. The creator of this group of ceramic works is Liu Danhua, a young teacher in the Ceramic University. He is the son of Liu Yuanchang, a famous master of Chinese arts and crafts. He told reporters that he didn't want to be in his father's shadow and that he had always wanted to forge his own path. He has been trying to do is to use his work for his endorsement, he belongs to the concept of ceramic art works, to show artistic conception for content, unique artist by the nature of the clay in deductive, mastering of the ceramic production methods, their own thoughts and feelings and artistic conception and the feeling of life through this particular form of art and the performance of the incisively and vividly. That is to make full use of modern materials for creation, to maximize the expansion of modern ceramic art art space.
Liu Danhua explained his artistic views and creative ideas to reporters. "You have to define your artistic style," he says. "My father's style has already been defined. If I copy my father's style from a money standpoint, or if I do it the traditional way, I can make money. However, as an artist, from an academic point of view, or from the perspective of future development, he must have his own artistic language and not fall into the traditional mold if he wants to leave his own mark in the future art history. In fact, it is also a set of pottery kneading works. Traditional artists may knead flowers and insects in nature, but I just made some changes in my ideas. The traditional craft has become a means of my creation. When a group of paper balls are burned out and there is nothing left, I use pottery to capture this common moment in life. This is disillusionment, but also a kind of beauty, and I have fixed it in our life forever. "
China's modern pottery creation is relatively late. In mid and late 1980 s, with the wave of western literature and art in mainland China, to the time of the mainland artistic creation has a huge impact, the western concept of "contemporary ceramic art" has a widespread impact on Chinese ceramics art, the concept of "ceramic" had become a new fashion of ceramic art, and has experienced several generations of continuous exploration and development. Chinese ceramic art has formed its own both Oriental art language and Western art creation concept of works.
Zhang Siping, a young teacher of Jingdezhen Ceramic University, created a group of shadow green figure sculptures, which are not only in line with the aesthetic taste of modern people, but also convey the strong charm of Oriental beauty.
Zhang Siping is a foreign artist in Jingdezhen. Now she is based in Jingdezhen and teaches in the Department of Sculpture at the University of Ceramics. When answering the reporter's question, Ms. Zhang's words were still with her strong local accent: "When creating this group of works, I want to use the shadow green glaze of Jingdezhen. The shadow green glaze of Jingdezhen is very glossy and jade-like, which can best reflect the characteristics of Jingdezhen ceramics. I feel the male image is not appropriate, do the beauty is more appropriate. Therefore, after I made several girls' images, I felt a little restrained in the dynamic and there was no change. So I tried to challenge the difficulty of ceramic burning in the dynamic and structural aspects, such as the low back, lifting feet, and the dynamic and limb stretching of different sitting positions in the dance. In terms of ceramic decoration, traditional ceramic decoration is relatively delicate, but we just add a little embellishment on the color. We use simple bold lines to decorate and decorative symbols with traditional meaning. With this simplicity and simplification, the ancient characters created by modern temperament form the unique artistic language of our works. "
Cao Chunsheng, as the academic host, expressed his views on this exhibition to the reporter. He said: "This exhibition is the first time for our university of ceramics to show sculptures and ceramics works together. This is a large-scale collective creation that has not been realized for many years. Our participating teachers not only elaborate on the work, we in the exhibition hall layout, we will space style and work relationship, the size of the work and space, etc. , we have been discussed and layout. In this exhibition, the University of Ceramics moved from the small circle of the University to the society, serving the public and communicating with the common people. This is conducive to the spread of our ceramic culture, enhance the public's understanding of ceramics and artistic taste, is the people's material life improved, the inner demand for spiritual life, is to enhance the overall cultural life of the city. "
