Tomás Carpio出生于1979年的厄瓜多尔昆卡市。视觉艺术家，因其对陶艺和创造性表达的执着而在艺术界脱颖而出。他的毕业于昆卡大学艺术系，2000年至2005年在该校学习视觉艺术，并获得奖学金。于2005-2006 年期间在巴斯克大学美术学院学习，主修陶瓷和设计。
Tomás Carpio was born in 1979 in Cuenca, Ecuador. A visual artist who stands out in the art world for his dedication to ceramics and creative expression. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Queensland, where he studied Visual Arts on a scholarship from 2000 to 2005. Between 2005 and 2006 he studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of the Basque Country, specialising in ceramics and design.

In addition to academic training, he shares his knowledge by teaching in different settings. Due to his family's tradition of making toys, he was immersed in manual activities from an early age. This experience allowed him to explore a variety of techniques and materials, fostering his curiosity about tools and the creative process. During his school years, he chose to work in a ceramic studio, which became an important part of his life.
Tomás Carpio的艺术作品与陶艺有着深厚的联系，并延续厄瓜多尔不同地区的祖传制陶技术。近二十年来，他将粘土作为艺术创作的主要元素。通过他的雕塑作品，他创造了新的兽类、动物和梦幻般的生命，唤起了植根于安第斯文化和厄瓜多尔原始文化传统中的象征意义。他的作品力求保持传统的活力，同时重新诠释、创新和发掘原始和日常的事物。
Tomás Carpio's artwork is deeply connected to pottery and continues the ancestral techniques of pottery making from different regions of Ecuador. For almost twenty years, he has used clay as the main element in his art. Through his sculptures, he creates new beasts, animals and fantastic beings that evoke symbolism rooted in Andean culture and in the traditions of the original Ecuadorian culture. His work seeks to keep tradition alive while reinterpreting, innovating and discovering the primitive and the everyday.
他的作品曾多次参加个人或团体展览。这使他成为所在城市乃至整个厄瓜多尔当代艺术陶瓷的标杆。他对艺术界的贡献不仅在于他的技术和创造力，还在于他注重通过自己的作品来保护家乡丰富的文化。
His work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions. This has made him a benchmark for contemporary art ceramics in his city and in Ecuador as a whole. His contribution to the art world lies not only in his skill and creativity, but also in his focus on preserving the rich culture of his hometown through his work.

He continues to explore new artistic frontiers, sharing his passion for ceramics and creative expression with the art world and the public.
